Steve and Tara

We're Steve and Tara — Australians who spent a decade visiting Bali before deciding to invest here ourselves. Together we built and ran three real estate agencies in Brisbane, managing over 500 properties with a team of 40+ staff at our peak.

We built Casa de Loto in Canggu from scratch, renovated Unite By The Sea in Uluwatu, and have a third property underway in Nyang Nyang. We manage them ourselves — to the same standard we'd manage yours.

Can you help furnish and style a new or renovated villa?
Yes — this is one of our most popular services for overseas owners. We manage the entire process: sourcing furniture and fittings locally in Bali, purchasing, delivery, and styling the villa to a standard that photographs well and impresses guests from day one. This is quoted separately depending on the scale of the project. Get in touch and we can walk you through how it works.
How often do you inspect the villa?
We conduct routine inspections on a regular schedule — independent of guest stays. Each inspection covers the interior, exterior, fixtures, appliances, garden and pool. You receive a detailed written condition report after every inspection so you always know the state of your property, whether you're in Bali or on the other side of the world.
Can I still use my villa for personal stays?
Absolutely. You block out the dates you want and we work around them. We just ask for reasonable notice so we can manage guest bookings around your stays.
How do I receive my payments?
Revenue is collected from the platforms and paid to your nominated bank account monthly, net of our management fee and any agreed expenses. You receive a full breakdown with every payment.
What if my villa needs significant repairs?
We handle maintenance coordination but major repairs are approved by you first. Nothing significant is spent without your sign-off. We have trusted local contractors who give fair pricing.
Do you work with villas outside Canggu and Uluwatu?
We're currently focused on Canggu, Uluwatu, and surrounding areas. Get in touch and we'll let you know if your location works for us.
How long does it take to get listed?
Typically two weeks from our initial agreement to live listings. This covers photography, copywriting, platform setup, and onboarding your villa into our management system.
Is there a minimum contract period?
We work on a rolling monthly arrangement. We'd rather earn your continued trust than lock you in. That said, we do ask for 30 days notice to wind down guest bookings cleanly.
